Con un lleno total y una espectacular puesta en escena se realizó esta noche el segundo megaconcierto del año (luego del que ofreciera U2 en febrero), protagonizado por el británico Robbie Williams.



Con un público mayoritariamente femenino, el ex Take That saltó a escena puntualmente a las 21 horas en el Estadio Nacional.

El show comenzó con la interpretación de los temas Radio y Rock DJ, que junto a las ráfagas de fuego sobre el escenario, encendieron al público desde un principio.

Acompañado de un sexteto de excelentes músicos y de un coro, además de bailarines, Williams repasó su repertorio de populares canciones, recordando incluso algunos temas de la desaparecida banda Take That.

El cantante apoyó su concierto con un excelente sistema de iluminación en que destacaban dos pantallas gigantes ubicadas en los costados del escenario y una en que se iban mostrando videos de anteriores actuaciones y clips.

Robbie Williams -con una veintena de palabras en español- se comunicó distendidamente toda la noche con el efusivo público, a quienes les recordó que canceló parte de su gira por los países asiáticos para privilegiar los conciertos en Latinoamérica. Tal fue su acomodo en el escenario que incluso se bajo los pantalones ante el público.

Varios rostros de la farándula nacional no quisieron perderse este gran espectáculo. Así fue posible ver corriendo a la argentina Amalia Granata quien arrancaba de la prensa para no referirse al posible encuentro que podría tener con el artista.

Asimismo, entre muchos que apludieron y calificaron de "magnifico" el espectáculo, estaba el negro Piñera, Kenita Larrain, Mónica Pérez, Cristian Sánchez, Benjamín Vicuña, Pampita, Marcelo Salas y Carlos Pinto

También, en otro sector, fue posible ver a las hijas del senador Eduardo Frei, Catalina y Verónica.

PREVIO AL ESPECTÁCULO
Antes del espectáculo, en las afueras del nacional podían comprarse desde clásicos cintillos y gorros hasta novedosos binoculares.

Tal como estaba programado, las puertas del recinto deportivo fueron abiertas a las 16:00 horas, reinando una completa calma entre los seguidores del artista. De hecho, cerca de cinco mil personas esperaron durante toda la jornada, incluso desde anoche, en las afueras del recinto deportivo para optar al mejor asiento, pese al intenso calor reinante en el lugar.

Por su parte, carabineros se encuentra resguardando al estadio y su periferia para que la entrada de los fans se realice en completa calma.

Danitza, de 16 años, es una de las seguidoras del cantante. Desde cerca del mediodía se encuentra en la fila de uno de los accesos del estadio para quedar lo más cerca posible del astro. "Soy una fanática fanática", sostuvo la menor al rato que tomaba los últimos sorbos de agua desde una botella plástica que de seguro le será requisada, pues ningún envase puede ingresar al recinto.

Cincuenta mil personas compraron sus entradas, pero aún es posible adquirirlas en la boletería del estadio o por ticket master.

Robbie Williams subirá al escenario a las 21:00 horas para entonar las primeras notas de su Close Encounters Tour, como parte de su gira mundial que lo ha llevado por gran parte del mundo con un total de 44 shows.

El artista inglés se encuentra desde ayer en nuestro país y permanece en la suite presidencial el Hotel Ritz-Carlton, desde donde se asomó un instante para saludar a sus fanáticos. Anoche, bajó unos instantes al lobby del recinto, pasó por el bar para beber un trago y luego subió a la piscina, con toda tranquilidad y lejos del asedio de sus fans. Durante esta mañana también ha permanecido dentro del hotel, en el piso 11.

Las horas previas a la presentación pasan tranquilas para el artista, quien en la paz de su suite se dedica a relajarse con videojuegos. Su bajista, Jerry Meeham, anticipa sorpresas para la noche, y asegura que la recepción del público chileno ha sido "maravillosa".

La empresa a cargo de la visita de Williams a nuestro país, Cie-Chile, ha tenido que cumplir con una serie de exigencias del artista, para hacer lo más cómoda posible su estadía por estas latitudes.

Su comitiva está compuesta por 97 personas, entre técnicos, músicos y asistentes personales. En el escenario, participarán junto al cantante 14 profesionales, incluyendo un DJ, un coro de siete personas y un staff de bailarines desplegados en un escenario con una rampa que sobresale 18 metros hacia la cancha.

LAS EXIGENCIAS DEL ARTISTA
Robbie Williams llega a nuestro país en el marco de una agotadora gira mundial. Es por ello que no extraña su solicitud de contar con elementos que le ayuden al relajo en su habitación del hotel, como una moderna consola de videojuegos -modelo Xbox 360- con uno de sus deportes favoritos: el fútbol.

En la carpa dispuesta para el artista en el centro deportivo, también existe una de estas consolas, además de un DVD con un especial de los 200 mejores goles de la historia. Entre las películas, destacan títulos como Sin City, Pulp Fiction y Traispotting.

En otra área, está habilitada una bicicleta fija para ejercitar. En tanto para recorrer las instalaciones especialmente habilitadas, existen carritos de golf.

El artista solicitó para su camarín purificadores de aire, comida de un restaurante cinco estrellas y la presencia de un chef chileno.

EL FACTOR GRANATA
Uno de los encuentros más esperados de esta jornada es la del cantante con la modelo argentina Amalia Granata, quien se hizo conocida luego de protagonizar un romance de una noche con el cantante británico durante una visita del astro a la nación trasandina.

Pese al transcurso del tiempo, la rubia fue a visitarlo hace pocos días a la mansión que el músico tiene en Estados Unidos, donde se encontraba la voluptuosa modelo visitando a una amiga. Para sorpresa de muchos, el cantante la recibió en su hogar, en un encuentro calificado de "espectacular", por la argentina.

"(Robbie) vive en un condominio súper privado en Beverly Hills. Todos me decían "¿quién te va a dejar entrar ahí?", lo que finalmente ocurrió, según su relato. "Nos dimos un abrazo súper cariñoso, nos abrazamos mucho", sostuvo Granata, tras lo cual recorrieron la mansión "muy bien decorada, minimalista", según la modelo, quien aprovechó de anunciar que con el artista quedaron de reencontrarse durante su paso por Chile.

Todo el mundo reía, aplaudía, y las frases "es un payaso" o "es un chiste" fueron los mayores comentarios ante la irrupción del cantante, que salió de una pasarela ubicada en la cancha VIP. Bolas de fuego que salían de ese sector, imágenes de naturaleza y catástrofes humanitarias decoraban la escena. Vestido con chaqueta negra, un pañuelo verde al cuello y jeans azules, el intérprete desenfundó "Radio", "Rock DJ" y "Tripping", grandes éxitos que dejaron casi sin respiro al público.

Primero se abrió la polera para mostrar un tatuaje en el ombligo. Luego se frotó el trasero y ejercitó su español. Pero el clímax de su rutina fue cuando, junto a su amigo, el cantante Jonathan Wilkes bailaron un tema de fibra swing y mostraron su trasero, generando el chillido más alto de la noche.

DESMAYOS

KENITA LARRAÍN fue una de las 80 personas desmayadas durante el concierto. Tuvo que ser atendida por la Cruz Roja, pero finalmente se repuso y volvió para ver el resto del show.

Robbie Williams estaba a punto de cantar el cuarto tema de su show, "Monsoon", cuando gritó: "¡Amalia Granata!". No hubo dedicatoria, pero pronunció el nombre de la modelo argentina que se hizo famosa por haber pasado una noche con él. Para muchos fue un irónico saludo, pero es difícil concluir las intenciones del cómico Williams.

Horas antes, Granata había amenazado con demandar a la actriz Francisca Merino por la imitación que hizo el lunes 9 en el programa "SQP" donde se le bautizó como "Amalia Barata". Anoche, la modelo se tomó fotos hasta con carabineros y, cuando se iba del estadio, recibió una lluvia de garabatos e insultos.


Comió corvina y disfrutó videojuegos

Robbie Williams se sabe su personaje de memoria. Tanto, que ayer no hizo prueba de sonido y a cambio invirtió el tiempo en comer, relajarse, disfrutar de los videojuegos y recorrer las bondades que ofrece el hotel Ritz Carlton de Las Condes, lugar donde se hospeda desde el lunes 9.

Al estadio ñuñoíno arribó cerca de las 16:15 horas. En uno de los pasillos se topó con personal de aseo del recinto y no dudó en saludarlos de manera afectuosa.

Luego se trasladó directo a su camarín, donde degustó toda la comida elaborada por los chefs chilenos de Caba, empresa encargada de su backstage. Ahí probó corvina a la plancha con arroz integral, muchas bebidas energizantes de marca británica, barras nutritivas a base de cereales y porotos ingleses. También se dio el tiempo para comer sushi y preguntar por la comida local. Puro relajo.

Como si se tratara de una dependencia, el cantante pidió de inmediato la consola X-box 360 de Microsoft, su juguete fetiche, y el mismo que le fue facilitado en su primera noche en el hotel. Volvió a entretenerse con videojuegos dedicados al fútbol y la aventura.

El aparato fue lo único que generó nervios y algo de malhumor en la visita de Williams. En la noche del lunes, y tras brindar brevemente con sus músicos en uno de los bares del Ritz, el ex Take That se desesperó al constatar que faltaba uno de los cables de la consola. Todo se solucionó rápidamente.

Anoche, casi al finalizar el concierto, el cantante inglés dijo que su recital en Chile le había devuelto la "confianza", que ahora se sentía "mucho mejor" que cuando decidió suspender su gira por Asia, a causa de una depresión. Fue un recital tranquilo, con 700 carabineros y 480 guardias encargados de la seguridad, pero sin detenidos. Dentro del recinto, cinco stands vendían poleras, llaveros y pósters del británico con precios que iban de los $3.000 a los $12 mil.

Según la productora CIE, anoche Robbie Williams se fue directo al aeropuerto. Tras Chile, su ruta es Argentina, México y Australia.
