Robbie Williams: Reality Killed The Video Star - NEWS ONLY
Robbie Williams is working on an "amazing" new album, according to one of his best friends. The 34-year-old ex-Take That star has been holed up in his LA mansion avoiding the limelight recently.
"He is working on a new album. It is some of the best stuff I have ever heard. It's amazing"But fellow British Hollywood exile Callum Blue, 31, an actor who recently made his name in the US comedy drama Dead Like Me, says Robbie has exciting new material up his sleeve. Blue said: "He is working on a new album. It is some of the best stuff I have ever heard. It's amazing." I don't know if anyone actually watched the video of Callum talking about Robbie's new album but he basically said...it's great..fantastic and the best he's ever heard...and....Robbie is in no hurry to put the album out, he's just relaxing and enjoying life and has "reached the pinnacle" so he's in no hurry.

Robbie Williams plans 2009 album By Frances Cronin Newsbeat entertainment reporter Robbie Williams' 'album strike' is over, according to his manager. In January, Tim Clark said the singer wouldn't deliver a new record to EMI because he wasn't happy with the company's new owners. But he's now told Newsbeat that Robbie is hard at work on a new album and is hopeful it could be released in 2009. He said: "I would certainly hope that a new album will be coming next year. There are never any guarantees but that's what we would hope." Earlier this year, Tim Clarke was quoted as saying "we have no idea how EMI will market and promote the album". Many people took that to mean that Robbie Williams was on strike. But Tim Clark says the singer hasn't stepped back from music and is gearing up for a new album. He said: "He's been writing and we heard some wonderful stuff. "I was with Robbie last week. He was at home and he was writing songs and he played some of them to us." Tim says Robbie is on good form. "He's in very fine spirits, in very fine form and I think what he's doing sounds really wonderful," he said. As for the subject of the album, there have been claims Robbie Williams was working on an alien-themed record due to an interest in UFOs. But Tim Clark says that's rubbish. He said: "It's been pretty much exaggerated in the press, as if that is anything new." Source

Robbie Williams Plans Comeback
Robbie Williams is making a comeback! He’s planning on ending his two-year hiatus and releasing an album in 2009. He’s been on an album strike with his label EMI because he hasn’t been seeing eye to eye on issues with the new label owners. Robbie’s manager Tim Clark tells BBC that he’s been writing songs for the new album at his house in LA, and it should be ready by next year. Clark says, "I would certainly hope that a new album will be coming next year. There are never any guarantees but that’s what we would hope. We have no idea how EMI will market and promote the album. He’s been writing and we heard some wonderful stuff. I was with Robbie last week. He was at home and he was writing songs and he played some of them to us. He’s in very fine spirits, in very fine form and I think what he’s doing sounds really wonderful." Well, Robbie’s made comebacks in the past, and we always end up loving his new material he comes out with. So we wish him luck with the song-writing and hope to hear his new stuff come January! ![]() Apparently, Williams's UFO obsession has not inspired his new songs ... which is a loss to pop music. Photograph: Rex Features Robbie Williams's strike is over. The pop singer has set aside his grudges and packed his mining pick - sorry, microphone - and will be returning to the hard slog of singing for millions of adoring fans. Though it was never officially confirmed, Williams had for months been understood to be striking for music-making, turning his nose up at Guy Hands and the new management at EMI. But according to Williams's manager, Tim Clark, the singer has been writing songs for some time and may release an album next year. "I would certainly hope that a new album will be coming next year," Clark told BBC Newsbeat this week. "There are never any guarantees but that's what we would hope." "I was with Robbie last week. He was at home and he was writing songs and he played some of them to us ... We heard some wonderful stuff." While some of us had imagined Williams in a dark, run-down flat, firing gunshots at a Guy Hands poster and scribbling anti-EMI diatribes all over the walls, Clark painted a different picture. "He's in very fine spirits, in very fine form and I think what he's doing sounds really wonderful," he said. And although the songs may turn out to be vitriolic hate-letters to studio suits, they will most certainly not be about extra-terrestrials. Clark dismissed rumours that Williams's interest in aliens had trickled down to the songwriting process. "It's been pretty much exaggerated in the press, as if that is anything new," he said. Source

Dunno if it's posted before..
Robbie set for 'wonderful' comeback by ANDREI HARMSWORTH - Monday, October 6, 2008 ![]() Robbie set to return Hollywood recluse Robbie Williams will come out of hiding and release a comeback album next year, his manager says. The increasingly bizarre singer will end his 'album strike' after it was revealed he is back writing 'wonderful' music for an eighth studio album. 'He's been writing and we heard some wonderful stuff', reveals his manager Tim Clark. 'I was with Robbie last week. He was at home and he was writing songs and he played some of them to us.' 'He's in very fine spirits, in very fine form and I think what he's doing sounds really wonderful,' Clark said. The news comes amid claims the singer, 34, has been engrossed in an obsession with extra terrestrial life and UFOs, even penning a track for a 'UFO camp'. The record will be the former Take That star's first release, for human fans at least, since flop album Rude Box back in 2006. But the volatile singer's management aren't counting their chickens before they hatch, saying: 'I would certainly hope that a new album will be coming next year. There are never any guarantees but that's what we would hope.' Source

That's so good Rob, say pals
Published: 30 Oct 2008 WHEN I heard pop oddball ROBBIE WILLIAMS was penning alien-inspired songs for his new album I feared another Rudebox. But it seems this could be his first decent collection in ages — after GARY BARLOW gave it a thumbs-up. Robbie treated his old TAKE THAT pals to an early listen on their recent visit to Los Angeles. Gary said: “We had some great hanging-out time with Robbie in LA and he played us some of his new stuff. It was really good. He started out with us so we have a connection.” I bet Robbie fancies being part of their stadium gigs next summer. The Sun
