Synopsis
This is a new updated and expanded edition of this bestselling biography to include coverage of his new life in LA, the brand new album "Intensive Care", T-Mobile deal and recent performances, including the show-stopping LIVE8. This "Sunday Times" bestseller has become the definitive unauthorised biography of Robbie Williams providing a 'warts and all' account of his phenomenal journey to the top. Covering his childhood in Stoke-on-Trent, his boy band years with Take That (who have reformed for some sell-out concerts in 2006), his battle with drink, drugs and his sexuality, his often-troubled love life and how he continues to be tormented by the demons that have shaped and driven him, to his current position as the undisputed King of Pop, sealed with the record-breaking GBP 80 million deal with EMI, the biggest ever in British recording history. Based on exclusive interviews with those closest to Robbie and with previously unpublished photos from the family archive, this is a must-have book for all Robbie fans.

Cerridwen 06-01-2006, 10:57 AM This is the same guy that wrote Angels and Demons i believe - has anyone read that?
Am I being totally stupid here in thinking the guy who wrote Angels & Demons was the same one who wrote The Da Vinci Code
shell 06-01-2006, 11:43 AM There is an author called Paul Scott that won the booker prize in 1977 and wrote some classic, postcolonial novels
http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/s/paul-scott/
I believe he died though - so i doubt he wrote the dc or that its the same author - i'll keep researching but i dont think its the same guy you are thinking of, i think the Paul Scott who wrote these unofficial Robbie books is a journalist - i'm sure he did a book on the Blairs too..
Sades 06-01-2006, 12:21 PM Dan Brown wrote The Da Vinci Code...
dan brown also wrote a novel titled Angels and Demons
Improper Bostonian 06-01-2006, 12:50 PM Divinci Code is Dan Brown.....
And I'll pass on this book and wait to see if Chris Heath puts out another since he's been around a lot so far on the Spring leg of the tour.
Sades 06-01-2006, 01:20 PM lol this is gettin confusing...
Paul Scott wrote Robbie Williams - Angels & Demons...
Dan Brown wrote Da Vinci Code and a novel called Angels & Demons...
is that right ?!
shell 06-01-2006, 01:27 PM yup :) but Brown's Angels and Demons is not the Robbie Angels and Demons :D
Sades 06-01-2006, 01:31 PM O........K
I think im with it  just.. lol
Someone bought me the book Angels and Demons about Robbie....I think I only read a few pages and didn't bother with the rest!!!! If it's unauthorised I won't read it!!
lindylou 06-01-2006, 02:07 PM I'm not going to bother with it either, if it's not official it's all ex yada yada people like that rubbish thing on channel 5!
Sades 06-01-2006, 02:16 PM TBH I own an unofficial Robbie Book, I couldnt even tell you what it's called.. it was a present from an Ex, trying to get me to read more... lol I dont think I'll be buying this book iva
Kathi M 06-01-2006, 05:23 PM There are three thning that came together in a strange way lately:
1. Chris Heath is around again - calls for some writing!
2. The South Arfrice Article from Chris - somewhere in the middle Rob statets that he is writing something.
3. The IS announced that something major is going to come in the Blog.
--> Rob is going to publish (parts?) of his autobiography. Soon...
-> 1. He has no expereince in prime time writing - but Chris has plenty to help him out.
-> 2. Well, i guess that's what he might be writing.
-> 3. that is something major for all teh fans complaining they want more rob for their money...
Well... True or not?
tasha 06-01-2006, 05:33 PM Dont want to read a book spouting rubbish or gossip about Robbie. Prefer to read a book which we know is fact like "Feel" so wont be buying.
Kathi M 06-02-2006, 08:08 PM Well, as a future marketer i'd say that 20% off in teh first week really indicated quality... Where sales really that slow or did you need some more incentives for people to by it..?
mousepractice 06-07-2006, 02:53 PM Angels and Demons was just taken from the tabloids. Hardly earth shattering.
vickys 06-08-2006, 08:09 AM Am I being totally stupid here in thinking the guy who wrote Angels & Demons was the same one who wrote The Da Vinci Code
I think Dan Brown wrote the Da Vinci code, im busy reading this new book, bought it mainly for pics (only a few) but a few pages in and i already disagreed with one point cause Robbie lived/stayed with his Dad in Guernsey in the Channel Island at one stage and in the book her refers to Jersey in the Channel Island, which is not true as my sister lives there and the place he mentions is not there but in Guersey, could just be a typing error but as soon as i read that i was like, this book is a whole lot of horse sh*t!
Ill keep reading and update you all
vickys 06-08-2006, 08:11 AM Divinci Code is Dan Brown.....
And I'll pass on this book and wait to see if Chris Heath puts out another since he's been around a lot so far on the Spring leg of the tour.
hope he does loved every minute of feel

He did also spend time in Jersey with his mum and dad when his dad was working there in a big club but he was very young indeed! Still think that book is a bit crappy tho!
Pitapat 08-28-2006, 11:30 PM I have seen that this book was to be published in June. It is by Paul Scott who wrote Angels and Demons, it is unofficial. Has anybody seen it.:thx:
vickys 08-29-2006, 06:49 AM Yup i bought it and only realised that it was unofficial then! Have started reading it, but not impressed! All news we already know! Only got 4 pages with pics, not that great!
bradley 09-24-2006, 08:14 PM anyone else buy this book
dinchen 09-29-2006, 08:44 AM Yeah I did. And I agree with Vickys.
It´s not really worth the money. The only interessting thing for me was the story with his old love Rachel.
I hope there will be a 2nd part of FEEL. I love that book and I have read it nearly 6 times since I´ve bought it.
lorie 09-29-2006, 11:16 AM I've got this book, it's like the other book, the same story of robbie's life, the fotos: not news.
So if you want it just to read it, keep and read again " FEEL " , it's better !!
pookyac 10-02-2006, 04:26 PM I've just bought this today. I was in HMV looking for Robbie stuff to buy and this was the only thing in the shop I didn't have! Not that I have everything, just that HMV is crap at the moment :(
pookyac 10-06-2006, 04:32 PM Well I finished it today.....not a great read.
Really shows up it's "unofficialness" (?!) by using quotes from Rob which you can see for yourself on TV shows/DVDs etc & it seems to be the type of book that anyone who put their mind to it could write as there is nothing new information-wise in it that I hadn't heard before and it sometimes comes across like the author has just been to the newspaper archives and paraphrased everything in them.
TheMissus 10-12-2006, 06:48 PM If you have already got Angels and Demons don't buy this book
It is the same book, pictures as well. The only difference is the epilogue is longer
(haven't read it yet to see what it says. I am still fuming that I bought the damn thing  ).
There is no indication anywhere that it is the same until you open the book and check the credits where it informs you it was first published as Angels and Demons.
I confess that I only bought it to bump my Amazon order over £15, thus getting free delivery on my new Jamie Oliver book :p
Wish I had looked for something else now, instead :sarky:
(still, at least my daughter now has some photo's to add to her school project ;) )

So true, I borrowed it from the library and kept thinking 'I've read this before' but I hadn't then I realised it was a reprint:no3:
Pitapat 11-16-2006, 07:28 PM I agree and think it was a total rip off, the same as Angels and Demons I thought it would be updated to include the last few years
