Event: Robbie Williams
Date: September 2006 DATE TO BE CONFIRMED
Venue: Millennium Stadium

Could this be true

If this turns out to be true, would anyone consider going?

I know I have been having a huge rant all morning about the cock-up at MK, but if he did go to Cardiff, I think I would go.

Rob is quoted as saying this will be the last tour for a long time, and MK will be my first and only chance of seeing him.

I quite fancy booking another concert, maybe with no hassle

I'm surprised this wasn't the venue for the Wembley concerts, it would have made much more sense as Cardiff is much easier and central to get to than MK.

The city also has a lot more to offer people going there as well!

mousepractice and I would be there... I just dont see it happening

TheMissus
05-18-2006, 06:52 AM
I kind of do see it happening. If this is his last tour for a while, its a bit of a come-down ending it at MK.

But I am not getting my hopes up (much). Just got my fingers, toes and anything else crossed that it does happen. And if it does, I have decided it will be me only. I found it such a faff getting money off people for the tickets I got for MK - people were so enthusiastic at first, but when it came to paying, they changed their minds.

mousepractice
05-18-2006, 06:53 AM
If its true, which I honestly doubt, I'll be going and I imagine Joanne will as well, so if anyone wants company, we'll be there! Also, Cardiff advice if anyone wants it.

mousepractice
05-18-2006, 06:56 AM
Just had a look at the link, and its there alright. Think they must be assuming it tho, cos companies in Cardiff were actually saying they were selling tickets for a Cardiff gig before he announced any dates at all, and this may be just more of the same. Have some contacts at stadium, will see what I can find out!

tasha
05-18-2006, 12:58 PM
If this is not a rumour (but sadly think it may be!) I will definately be looking :search: for a someone travel with etc etc etc. Sadly none are my friends are Robbie fans and I dont think hubby will travel to Cardiff for it either (even though he travelled to Cardiff for West Ham) and I dont want to travel that far alone bearing in mind it will probably be an over night stay as well.

Yes, I live in Orpington - just 20 mins from Jct 4 of the M25.

TheMissus
05-18-2006, 01:22 PM
there you go then - if it happens we'll team up :D

i know it probably is just a rumour, but i still think it makes sense. you think how many people have cancelled their MK tickets because of the lack of seats. Maybe, just maybe, they might put one more show on at a seated stadium, especially if it is going to be the last tour for a long time.

Am I clutching at straws here :o somebody hit me http://www.cheesebuerger.de/images/midi/boese/a066.gif

Agree, its probably just a rumour but we can live in hope! I was praying the alternative venue was Cardiff and had even persuaded hubby to go as well. Ive seen his pics of West Ham and it looks great.

and it will be great to team up :shake:

Flippin heck ....supposed to be packing and this place is slowing me down.
I've also got this problem and was asking some others about it on the longest thread a few night ago.

It happens if you are signed into the forum and then try and look at the home page by clicking on home. You just get the bit out blog for Rob and nothing else. The only way I can get to the homepage is to log out and then click on home and I can see the lot. I then need to log back in to go back onto the forum.
This action use to work for me and died on me about 3 nights ago.
Hope this makes sense!

Back on topic but just got this from another site:

Robbie plans to take a break

Robbie Williams is set to take a break from touring after his finishes his current stint on the road.

The singer is currently on his Close Encounters world tour, which is promoting his number one album 'Intensive Care'.

Williams is famous for his live shows, but it seems the gigs have taken their toll and the former Take That star insists his current dates will be his last for some time.

He told the Daily Star: "I'm not going on tour for a long time after this one. For me, this tour is a year-long celebration of what I have achieved as a solo artist. And it comes in the form of getting on stage in stadiums.

"After that I'll say, 'thank you very much'. It's not something that I want to do again for a long time."

He added: "In some of the other shows I've done, I've been running the 1,500 metres and the 400 and the 100 metres all at the same time. It's time to relax."

If fans want to see Robbie before he takes a break, the star is playing the following UK and Ireland dates:

Dublin Croke Park (July 9),

Glasgow Hampden Park (September 1, 2),

Manchester (To be announced),

Leeds Roundhay (September 8, 9),

Milton Keynes Bowl September (14, 15,16, 18, 19),

Cardiff Millennium Stadium (To be announced)

OK its from the Daily Star but you never know. OK I admit Im getting my hopes up again.

Well let hope he does do Cardiff or Manchester for that matter. Cant really afford it either but I am going to go if he does announce more dates. Hubby spent £110 on going to Cardiff to see West Ham so as long as I pay for it he wont care (well he is gonna have to have the kids!!). Going to use my own Credit Card and pay it off later. Hopefully we will know soon as my Birthday is in June and I can ask for money and that will pay for it. I cant think of a better birthday present, a weekend away and a Robbie gig to match.

Paula, cant you just give your hubby plenty of tlc and join mymissus and me? Not really sure how my hubby will react if we do get to see him in Cardiff but then again he cant complain can he, when he went there for West Ham.
