Concerts scheduled to be played at London's new Wembley Stadium over the summer (06) have been cancelled because the building work on the arena will not be completed in time. American rockers BON JOVI were booked to be the first band to play at the completely rebuilt venue on 10 June (06), while THE ROLLING STONES (http://www.contactmusic.com/new/xmlfeed.nsf/mndwebpages/wembley%20concerts%20cancelled_30_03_2006#), ROBBIE WILLIAMS and reformed British boyband TAKE THAT had also sold out hotly anticipated shows in August, September and June respectively. It is believed the KEEP THE FAITH stars will move their 10 and 11 June shows to the nearby Twickenham Stadium, which is the home of English rugby, while Take That have confirmed they will switch to the Milton Keynes Bowl in Buckinghamshire on 24 and 25 June. It's been almost a month now since the Wembley Stadium announcement and still nothing! It's really annoying to keep fans waiting this long, whether the concerts will be postponed or just moved we don't know.

I'm hoping they've been moved, not postponed.

They are going to announce the Australian dates in a month... hopefully the wembley changes will be announced too.

I am hopeful we will hear something this week.

If it moves to Cardiff i may be going solo - no one else is I'm going with wants to travel that far :( But as this is my first Rob concert I will go where ever he sends me :D

Im hoping for Caridff. Apart from the fact I live in South Wales, everyone seems to think Milton Keynes is a nightmare, tho Ive never been there. Ive also heard Twickenham may be an option. If they move the date, I could be in trouble. I may have trouble getting time off work. I will not be amused!!!!

Ive got a problem if they move it on a week. Someone else in work is off that week, and we cant be off at the same time! Cant see him cancelling his entire family holiday for me somehow!

Tour Manager Thomas Golseth said on his blog yesterday that they'll be an announcement soon - venue change but not date. (he has since deleted yesterdays blog entry as the comments got abit personal)

It would be brilliant is it was Twickenham...its just down the road from me...cardiff is flipping miles away.

I think Twickenham is out, but agree that it is going to be a real pain in the bum if it is Cardiff.

I think there will be a lot of returned tickets if it does go to Cardiff - general opinion amongst my friends is that they won't bother :(
Wembley was doable in a day, whereas Cardiff will involve childcare arrangements etc - I will just send them round me Mum's, they can have Friday off school :D

Just hope that what ever happens they don't refund then resell the tickets - that will be a f**king nightmare :mad:

Its about 2 hours from London by train. There are buses, but they take about 4 hours. Also, connecting flights I think, but Ive never done that.

Dates will not change. That I can tell you. You may be slightly inconvienced with a little more travel, but no need to change flights, hotels, etc.

"Wembley Stadium have announced that, unfortunately, they will not be able to accommodate the scheduled run of events for Autumn 2006. This includes the five dates Robbie was due to play in September.

I agree. Tom Golseth says we will be only slightly inconvenience by more travel, and not to change hotel bookings. If it was moved to Cardiff I should imagine it would be nearly impossible to get back to London that night, so I am assuming it is in or around London somewhere

um - they are well and truly stuffed. I bought seated tickets for the Saturday for a friend. I don't think she will be going if it is moved to Milton Keynes.

I doubt it will be there - the national hockey league stadium looks like the best option, the grass banking one would be chaotic surely?

I don't think that would be big enough - seating capacity is only 9,000, even allowing for pitch standing, I don't think they will squeeze 60,000 odd people in

OK Ive accepted that the concerts are going to be at MK Bowl but its frustrating that they have not officially announced it when the new venue is appearing on other official websites. I guess all these sites are doing their announcements unofficially... remember last year before the tour was announced places were selling tickets for dates and venues that didnt even turn out to be gigs...and these were from so called very official sources. I know MK is the very very very likely answer.... but in the end theres nothing we can do about it and his webiste will make the announcement when all the details are in place and there is no room for something to go wrong or else they look very stupid if they have to change their details again

Not keen on MK. Really wanted a Stadium and much prefer to travel to Cardiff even though thats a long way away and an over night stay. But we must accept that its more than likely MK Bowl now, just wish they would hurry up and tell us.

I have never been to another concert by any other artist that has been so memorable as Mr RW.
I have also never been to another concert where every single member of the audience is having such a fantastic time.
There is something about Robbies fans that makes them able to create a unique atmosphere that you just have to be there to experience .

Other than my wedding day and the births of my children, I have to say that seeing Rob at Knebworth was one of the best days of my life that I will never forget. (what a soppy old wotsit I am!) :o

So....roll on the tour .....and tell us where it will be !!!!

I would also say thet knebworth was the best night of my life and i will vever ever forget it , when i watch the dvd i go all goosepimpley especilley when the foghorns start going , ohh the memories !!!
