Feel is the only Robbie book Ive read and love it. I like the fact we are reading about the real Robbie and its based on fact not fiction. Have got Nobody Someday but could not "get into it" so Ive put it down and Ive not picked it up again. I would prefer to read official books which contain real facts about Robbie so if anyone can recommend any more I would appreciate it.

Iv'e read Robbie the biography and Feel. Feel was the most interesting read for me, giving you a real insight to what its like to be the man himself.
There's a new book due to be published in June, Robbie Williams A New Dawn.
Have pre-ordered it already :D

is this an official book??

No it's an Unofficial book. An unauthorised biography. Interesting though ...its written by Paul Scott. Some retailers are selling a book by this chap due to be published in June called 'A New Dawn' others are selling a book by this guy called 'Facing the Ghosts'.

Both books have exactly the same cover and even the same ISBN number so are exactly the same book.

I guess he hasn't decided what to call it yet .....but don't rush out and buy both!

I have recently finished reading Feel and found it very interesting. He definitly has the life of a rock star. I didn't know if I should laugh or cry for him. He really has a nice life but it is made hard for him by so many outside influences. It amazed me how fickle he is, changing his mind constantly and he is rather self absorbed. (not that I wouldn't cater to him if I had the chance!) And there are plenty of people around him that obviously care a lot about him and are there to help him. He is blessed to have Josie and Max and Jonny of course.
I especially liked the parts about how he wrote songs, to be so talented must definitly come from his personality. The chapters on his experiences with Take That and Guy Chambers was enlightening and certainly influenced his personality. It is amazing how he survived Take That with all they, mainly gary and the manager, put him through and he was so young.
I respect the fact that he had ample opportunities to "drop names" but didn't to respect their privacy and perhaps protect himself, but smart none the less.
The details of his touring were fasinating. He definitly works hard. I feel a little guilty enjoying the Knebworth dvd so much since he seemed to hate doing it so much. But he keeps at it so I will keep enjoying it.
Hope this all made sense to those reading it. It is a book worth reading and I was sad when it was over because I wanted more..
I am expecting Somebody Someday soon in the mail so can't wait to read that one.

Great Thread !

Feel it is then - I nearly bought Nobody Someday the other day but then the unofficial bit really did put me off. I know its the truth that counts and so Feel is thoroughly endorsed by Robbie and importantly - you guys.

I read Nobody Someday, Angels and Demons, Robbie The Biography and Feel. From the two unofficial ones, Robbie The Biography is probably the better one. There are a lot of statements of ppl he used to know in Stoke in it and a lot about his childhood. Naturally it doesn't have any comments by Robbie in it.

Feel is very emotionally and at parts very frank. It's quite brave to have a book like that written with many things in it that can be misunderstood. Sometimes I had to think parts over and over again and what was said within the book often made me sad - for and because of Robbie. You should read it as a fan.

Ah, I got that photo book from the library for a check to see whether it's the money - and I WAS disappointed with it. Some nice pictures, but not nealy enough to get me to pay so much money for a book... And I prefer the look of the Robster nowadays to his boyhood days ;-)

Feel is the best of all Robbie Williams books.
And I hope there will be a 2nd part of it written by Chris Heath.
I saw Chris, I think it was in the documentation about the Close Encounters Tour. He was with Rob and followed him everywhere with a notepad.
So maybe there will be a new Robbie book? HOPE!

'FEEL' by chris heath is a great insight to robbies life and the crap he has to deal with,i think its a very honest account of his life, lifestyle and the banter in it between himself johnnie wilkes is funny ,and the time he met mr louis(eejit) walsh,a great read

Feel is AMAZING, it's available in finnish but I had to read the original version, cause you just can't translate Robbie's hilarious jokes etc. into finnish, it's not possible if you know what I mean.
The book has it all, it's really funny and touching at the same time, the author has done a great job to paint a picture of Robbie. I've read it several times and still it manages to surprise me. Can't remember ever laughing so much out loud while reading a book. :pmsl: Loving it.

I haven't read Feel, I am tempted though, since all of you say it's great. But at the same time I don't know if I wanna read it if it's too sad or makes me too upset or something?? I only read one small snippet of it (a Finnish version) a couple of weeks ago in a book store and it was about some fan that Rob hugged during a song on stage and afterwards he said "she smelled" or something, and I thought that was weird and I actually got a bit upset. But of course I realize that was just a small snippet and out of the context.

And on a second thought, after waiting for Rob on a field for ages to get the best spot, I guess the first row people really do smell a bit:rolleyes:

I have read Angels & Demons many times and I think it's OK.

I`m finally reading FEEl as I could only buy it last Sunday!!
I`m thrilled with it...I read 68 pages...but it`s scary as I`m falling for Rob even more!! I wonder where is a limit for it...I mean how is that possible to love him and love him and love him....geeezzzzz...My heart melts for all the details I read about him. He`s even more than I could possibly imagine. Too sweet!

One question:

are there 2 editions of FEEL? I bought the blue cover one...but I think I saw it in purple somewhere in the past....
Mine has some black and white pics..the other one seemed not too? I`m not sure..I hope their content it`s the same...

I`m loving it....and I am head over heels here!! ROOOOOOOOOOOB!!

Feel is my favourite book. It's been written by someone with no hidden agenda. He describes exactly what it's like to be so famous, when everyone thinks they own a piece of you and there's no escape.
Now I would never dream of finding his hotel, or home and waiting for him and invading his privacy.
Some people call him arrogant and big-headed, this book shows you he's anything but. Also, he is very intelligent and a deep thinker.
I always loved Rob, but this book made me respect him as well.
Love you Rob !!!:lr:

I borrowed this book from the library 2 days ago and finished it in the same amount of time, really well written and really gives you an insight in to what it is like for Rob. It must be really hard to be constantly in the limelight and everyone wants a piece of you (i feel like that sometimes and I'm only a mum of 2) it is very hard to have "you time" and everyone always needs you for something. This book really made me understand how hard it must be for Rob. Made me a bit sad in a way cause it's so hard for him to form a lasting relationship. I really related to this book

I loved feel also .. it gave me a picture of what its like to live soo much in the public's view .. its not always a nice existence.

Lots of highs and lows .. we all have these in our lives but as a musician/celeb .. it must be 10X worse ..

I haven't read any of the other stuff released about him and so thought there would be a link to a review of other Robbie books around here I could send her. hey R-ange
Here's a review for you!
Nobody Someday is the book form of the dvd. It's sort of a sad story and is kinda more about the band and the shows than Robbie himself. I much preferred to watch the dvd as you can see so much more emotion in Robbie's eyes and expressions than what comes across in the book.
I was in Borders today and saw two more books - didn't buy em cause they looked like cobbled together crap. Could be wrong though. Spent awhile looking at the photos inside!

:wink3: :laugh2:

i wonder if she was talking about this one! Sounds good, tempted to buy it but I vagueley remember someone reviewed it somewhere around here and it was all a bunch of interviews with other people about Robbie instead of interviews with Robbie himself! So full of third hand information...

Robbie Williams: Facing the Ghosts

Paul Scott

This is a new updated and expanded edition of this bestselling biography to include coverage of his new life in LA, the brand new album "Intensive Care", T-Mobile deal and recent performances, including the show-stopping LIVE8. This "Sunday Times" bestseller has become the definitive unauthorised biography of Robbie Williams providing a 'warts and all' account of his phenomenal journey to the top. Covering his childhood in Stoke-on-Trent, his boy band years with Take That (who have reformed for some sell-out concerts in 2006), his battle with drink, drugs and his sexuality, his often-troubled love life and how he continues to be tormented by the demons that have shaped and driven him, to his current position as the undisputed King of Pop, sealed with the record-breaking GBP 80 million deal with EMI, the biggest ever in British recording history. Based on exclusive interviews with those closest to Robbie and with previously unpublished photos from the family archive, this is a must-have book for all Robbie fans.

Yes, Feel is a very good book. It gets you know Rob better, with goods and bads. And a nice read, very funny.

I found "Facing The Ghosts" to be the same as "Angels and Demons"
I like Feel and an unofficial one called "A Life Less Ordinary" by Emily Herbert

Recently, I read Nobody Someday and Feel, one after the other, and I have to say, Feel is my favourite out of the two. There's just something about it...how honest Rob is, maybe.

I purchased FEEL about a month ago. I've already read it through completely twice now. I can't remember the last time I've laughed out loud so many times when reading a book.

Not only is this one of the most entertaining books I've ever read, but also one of the most telling. From Robbie's earliest interests into UFOs and such to his interactions with other people, including his fans, this book tells it all, in a simple, "to the point" way.

The author truly brings Robbie to the reader as he really is. I believe that after reading this book about the past, you can honestly start to understand some of the "present day" Robbie as well.
