View Full Version : What song on RKTVS are you NOT too keen on?
RobsIsTheBest 06-11-2010, 11:31 PM I've gotta say Superblind, I just thought it's a bit of an odd song on the album. The lyrics are fine, it's just the way he sang it. But......love you Robbie, my star! Hehehh.....btw.....im not bashing the album....i do like it!
xoxo

melnavan 06-11-2010, 11:46 PM looooooooooooove 'Wont do that'
U.S./ROBBIE/FAN 06-11-2010, 11:47 PM Superblind is my favorite song on RKTVS.
Least favorite is Morning Sun(Reprise).
RobsIsTheBest 06-11-2010, 11:59 PM I actually think Morning Sun is a good quality, but unfortunately, underrated song - it didn't do well in the charts which is sad esp as it was released as the official Comic Relief song..
melnavan 06-12-2010, 12:02 AM It is crazy considering ............. Norm charity songs do better.......alot better
nina loves robbie 06-12-2010, 04:13 AM morning sun could of done better if rob had promoted it
since he did nothing for it how can it be big hit i think it is sad he
let that one go it is a brilliant song i am not a big fan of ballads
but morning sun deserved so much better
Laura 06-12-2010, 08:21 AM It would be easier to say which songs I like than don't like
I like You Know Me, Do You Mind? a lot and Bodies has grown on me... and Morning Sun is ok... the rest, sorry not so keen on.
EndlessSummer 06-12-2010, 08:35 AM Wont do that and Do You Mind
nupica 06-12-2010, 08:36 AM Wont do that and Do You Mind
Same here, there is something wrong with the melodies...
I love all songs except Somewhere, don't get why it's on the album but there must be some explanation. And what a waste to use space for a reprise of Morning Sun - space that could have been used for another song. I have a feeling that's down to Trevor Horn and his production, but I think he got to hanged up in production and forgot to consider how RW fans would actually like it.
nina loves robbie 06-12-2010, 01:25 PM susi i also dont see why morning sun reprise is on the album or somewere
i both should of been scrapped and have a proper full song in there place
and what ever happened to the hidden track i know he didnt do it in IC but he should of continued that...........maybe one day they will listen to fans
jayne64 06-12-2010, 01:31 PM I agree with you about the reprise of Morning Sun Susi, to me it's a waste of space too considering the amount of other material that was available - im still not a fan of that song though anyway.
Like some others i'm really not keen on You Know Me and Won't Do That, they're a bit cheesy for my taste and i often skip them but i do like Somewhere, i think it's beauty is in it's simplicity and the fact that such a short and sweet 'poem' was included in the album makes me think that there is more significance to it than we will ever know.
Sophie84 06-12-2010, 04:33 PM Starstruck
it's not that I necessarily dislike it so much but if I were to pick my least favourite, that would be it
lennon 06-12-2010, 07:21 PM Starstruck
it's not that I necessarily dislike it so much but if I were to pick my least favourite, that would be it
phew, not just me then...............although I'd go so far as to say I don't like it at all-from first hearing and despite trying to 'get it' I skip it every time.
Good job we all like different things otherwise Rob really would be 'uggered ;)
x
nina loves robbie 06-12-2010, 11:56 PM :shock:horror sophie...lennon you both dont like starstruck omg i am very very shocked thats one of my favs from the album

Honestly...yeah I easily skip it too at times. Just not my cup of tea. I've tried "getting it" too as I thought there was something I was missing since everyone else seemed to like it.. :re:
sorry Nina :)

sorry Nina :)
i felt like this about bodies it took me forever to like it and forever to like the album but in the end i got there i now love bodies and even have it as my message alert and also love 98% of the album
i do understand sophie
tasha 06-13-2010, 07:28 PM I tend to skip Blasphemy the most out of all the album and Morning Sun Reprise. And though I do like Somewhere I dont really see the point. Would of preferred one completely new song than the two put together.
Monica 06-14-2010, 06:30 AM Wont do that and Do You Mind
The same for me
YanksluvRob2 06-18-2010, 03:34 PM Wow, the only song I skip is generally Decepticon. My too literal mind can't wrap around it.
Sometimes, I think finding Robbie later in his career (Escapology is first album I heard) makes it easier to enjoy his more current sound. I enjoy his earlier albums but don't have him married to those in my mind.
:)
oceana 06-18-2010, 04:37 PM "Won't do that".......I don't like the melody of the chorus :noway:
all the others songs are great but I would have preferred a real song instead the two small songs ( somewhere and ms reprise )
