Robbie To Appear On Loose Women (http://www.robbiewilliams.com/news-blogs/robbie-to-appear-loose-women)
3 Nov 2009
There'll be no time to run out for a sandwich or queue in the canteen on Monday 9th November, just be sure to locate your nearest TV... Robbie will be joining British lunchtime television chat show Loose Women.
He will be the only guest on the show for this very special edition and, as well as talking to Loose ladies Kate Thornton, Denise Welch, Carol McGiffin and Sherrie Hewson, Robbie will be performing You Know Me, his new single, out on 7th December.
Tune in to ITV1 at 12:30 midday to catch up on the latest from Robbie as he is put in the hot seat.
If you'd rather be in the audience than watching your TV, you can apply for tickets by emailing frances@clappers-tickets.co.uk and quoting RobFan. Tickets are allocated on a first come basis, with a maximum of four per person. Successful applicants will be sent full details for the filming of the show, which is broadcast live.
Lunchtime has never been so good!

just read a comment on rw.com that there are only 60 seats. Tickets will have been issued well over capacity to allow for no shows, so i reckon you will need to get there super early to be sure of getting in.
Robbie is to appear on Loose Women on Monday 9th Nov.

TheMissus 11-04-2009, 08:42 AM Robbie Williams to make comeback TV interview on Loose Women
By Mark Jefferies 3/11/2009
Robbie Williams has agreed to be grilled for his comeback television interview by ITV's Loose Women.
The singer, 35, snubbed big names with bigger audiences after saying he was a fan of the daytime show, which has one to two million viewers.
He claimed last year that he fancied the Loose ladies and would "sleep with them" if he didn't have a girlfriend.
Robbie, watched by over 14 million on The X Factor last month, is said to have struck up a friendship with Denise Welch, who may have got him on it. An ITV source said: "Robbie knows he'll have a fun time with the women."
He will be the sole guest on Monday at 12.30pm with presenters Denise, Kate Thornton, Carol McGiffin and Sherrie Hewson and will also sing new tune You Know Me.
Daytime controller Fiona Keenaghan said: "We're rather excited at the prospect of turning Robbie loose for the day and promise to be gentle."

I've heard that this has happened to a few people who already had tickets allocated for Monday. There are no terms and conditions on the ticket site so I have no idea if there is some small print that says this may happen.

TheMissus 11-08-2009, 11:54 AM Loose Women audience cancelled for Robbie Williams 'mates' EXCLUSIVE by Stephen Martin 8/11/2009
TV ticket row on Loose Women studio filled with Robster fans
The entire audience for a TV show with Robbie Williams was dumped at the last minute…so the singer could fill the studio with his fans.
Robbie, 35, is guest of honour on ITV1’s Loose Women tomorrow for an hour-long special during which he’ll showcase his new single. But the original 90-strong audience, which had been invited earlier, was suddenly scrapped to make way for cheering members of Robbie’s fan club.
Frantic phone calls and emails telling the first audience they were scrapped went out on October 29, citing “reasons beyond our control”. At that stage the audience didn’t know Robbie was the guest – but producers feared anything less than a frenzied welcome might unsettle the singer.
Four days later Robbie announced his Loose Women appearance on his official fan club website and Facebook page, offering tickets to fans who applied by email, quoting the term “RobFan”.
Claire Smith, 31, of Cheshunt, Herts, was in the original audience – and was astonished to find out why she’d been cancelled. She said: “It’s a fiasco. I got a voicemail on my phone to say I was cancelled, then an email to confirm it. "When I found out why, I phoned to complain and was told a condition of Robbie’s appearance is that the audience is filled with his fans.”
By the time Claire found out about the tickets being offered on Robbie’s website, they had all gone. “The crazy thing is that I’m a huge Robbie fan, “ she said. “People in a Loose Women audience are not likely to hate him, are they?”
An ITV spokeswoman said: “We’re sorry for any disappointment felt by audience members originally booked to attend the show.” She said producers decided an audience made up exclusively of Robbie fans would make a “better atmosphere”.

I wonder if it was Robbie's people or the Loose Women producers who decided to make it a Robbie-only fanfest - this article seems to contradict itself :shaz:
If it was Robbie's people, whilst it might be a confidence boost to have an audience full of screaming fans, news articles like this are not going to endear him to the great British public :noway:
Ladylovelight 11-08-2009, 02:00 PM I think it's slightly strange altogether. One 1 hand you can understand if the Robbie camp did want the audience to be made up of all fans as it's going to come over as Rob being hugely popular but then I cant possibly imagine that the type of people that would go to watch Loose Women would be anything other than very welcoming!! I suppose a compromise of a 50/50 audience would have been impossible as picking ramdom people to cancel would have been very unfair! :shaz:
Your quite right Missus, news articles like this he could really do without!

So, he wasn't at Marks wedding? I was sure he would have taken a private jet directly from Germany, but apparantly he didn't. But I have a hunch he doesn't like big weddings or big arrangements anyway.

He's exactly as we expected him to be - maybe even nicer to be honest! I was slightly worried at the last minute that I'd be dissapointed if I'd got it wrong. I couldn't have been more right - he was just a lovely chatty gorgeous man. I know I love him and would love to jump his bones but I also would be dead happy if he was my mate - and could have a cup of tea with him :ok:

Loose Women is Britain's most popular factual programme.
Where are the documentaries? The natural history programmes? The culture and arts shows? Is this the best we've got?
They took to the stage with a squeal to make the nation's dogs fear for their ears – and a result to make Britain's documentary-makers wonder where it all went wrong. For the unlikely winner of last night's National Television Award for most popular factual programme was ITV's Loose Women; the show's nomination illustrated by a clip of Carole McGiffin asking where Robbie Williams was going to take her on holiday.
Quite how that happened, I cannot fathom. The only small mercy is that the NTAs didn't call the category best factual programme - although what that says about the esteem in which they hold the members of the public who voted for the award I'm not quite sure; it's basically having a public vote and then adding a disclaimer to it. In any case, regardless of whether the award is for the most popular, best, outstanding or any other kind of programme, this fact remains: of all the great wealth of factual programming on British television, a show that featured a chat with Robbie Williams was the one that won.
It isn't that Loose Women is necessarily bad television. It is not, admittedly, my favourite programme, but there are plenty of women – and indeed, men – who are happy to defend it. What do they say? That the show is fun; it's a bit of a laugh; sometimes it's a bit informative. Which it might well be – but what Loose Women is not is the cream of British factual television. I'd argue that it's not even factual television full stop: it's an entertainment format, a factual entertainment format at a push.
And yes, that's perhaps pernickety. But the shortlist for most popular factual programme also included Come Dine With Me, Top Gear, and The Apprentice. Where were all the documentaries? The amazing natural history programmes? The history series? The culture shows? They might not have the audience to compete with Loose Women in a public vote, but to exclude them entirely from last night's award ceremony by having just one huge factual category doesn't just do viewers a disservice - it does television one, too. Bafta gets this right, with awards for best specialist factual, best documentary, best feature, and best current affairs. The NTAs clearly can't adopt them all but even one extra factual category – and I don't mean this year's most popular star travel documentary, a ludicrous award if ever I heard one - might produce rather more credible results.

I sleep in a Hello Kitty babydoll, but I doubt my husband would wear Hello Kitty  I think Robbie wearing that hoody was a calculated choice, maybe a response to being called a grandpa. He probably knew that photo would turn up on loose women.

Robbie Williams was probably my favourite guest because he loves the show so much he asked to come on to do his first TV interview for his new album.
The week before, because he's quite a nervous creature, he wanted to familiarise himself with us. He already knew Kate (Thornton), Denise (Welch) and Sherrie (Hewson), but then he asked his agent for my phone number so he could have a chat.
He'd called during a show, so I called him back and then one of the show's assistants knocked on my dressing-room door. I said: 'Hold on Rob,' (Rob!) and went to the door, answered it and said: 'Yeah, can you come back? I'm just on the phone to Robbie Williams.'
The assistant looked at me as if to say: 'Yeah, in your dreams!'
When Robbie came on the show he was given the rare privilege of staying for two parts.

I think they didn't think too much. They simply liked it.
Mariella 05-17-2010, 12:10 PM my God, maybe it was also only a gift from Denise Welch........and if he really bought it for himself i also think it isn`t bad, i think it is great that he is so multisided , and he looks cute in that jumper.
if he really likes it, too, also good sign , so he`s young at heart and self -confident, doesn`t give a damn about what people will may say/ mock about it
Who said the hoodie is a problem? It's funny and sweet - I just think he wore it as a funny response to the grandpa quotes. Or to tell us that Ayda is pregnant - I just don't think it's a coincidense.
